I feel pretty relaxed about this booking to be honest. I planned a short trip to Milan with my kid and I had to think about both time and money. I was pretty upset at the start. I came to Pescara in Italy alone and I booked a car in advance on QEEQ. I planned to just pick it up and drive around. When I got to the Budget counter a few days later than I landed they told me the car I booked had a nail in the tire and I could not take it. They also did not have another car for me. I stood there with my bag next to my feet and I felt my whole plan was broken. I was nervous and also a bit angry. I called the platform and told them I never got the car and I could not use anything and I wanted my money back. After that one person from their side kept talking with me. It was always the same person following my case. The tone was calm and they asked me what exactly happened with the pickup then they went to talk to the rental desk. The people at the rental desk were not very helpful at first. They said something like they wanted to charge a no show fee and they also wanted to wait until the end of the rental period to check everything. I felt really frustrated because I did go to the counter and they were the ones with no car. In the next days I kept checking my phone and email all the time. I was worried I would lose a lot of money. The person who followed my case kept giving me small updates. I did not feel like I was left alone. They told me what the rental company replied and what they would try next so I knew the case was moving. I also repeated that I never drove the car and I never used anything and they helped me stress this point again to the rental staff. They said they would keep pushing for a clear answer. Some time later I woke up to an email and I saw that the rental company finally agreed not to charge the fee and the money was already refunded. I felt a big stone fall from my heart. I think if I had to do all the calls and emails myself in a foreign country it would be very hard and I might fail to explain everything clearly. This time the trip started in a bad way but with someone always checking on my problem and giving me answers the whole thing felt much lighter and I really felt looked after.
